A Brief History

Known as Five Fields in the Middle Ages, Belgravia was developed in the 19th century by the Marquess of Westminster, Robert Grosvenor. British master builder Thomas Cubitt created a new town, including the locations of shops, pubs, mews and services. Quickly, the area gained notability.
